Kissing cousins to the regal Raphael, the Majestic Villa & Hotel Paris’s MajClub is a wellness center cocooned away just steps from the Charles de Gaulle Étoile and the famous Champs Élysées.
Operated under the direction of 39-year-old Mme. Veronique Beauvais-Valcke, whose mother, Francoise Baverez is the third-generation-owner, the hotel continues to adhere to its tradition of luxury and hospitality. The family is the same family who established and built these luxury hotels in Paris early last century.
Fresh is the approach that Beauvais-Valcke took when re-doing the Majestic Hotel & Villa. And her fresh approach included installing a Cinq Mondes spa in her MajClub Wellness Center under the ground floor of the Majestic’s reception lobby.
The 13 meter long, 1.3 m deep counter-current swimming pool is the attention-grabber, situated in a spacious and light room furnished with relaxing chaise longues – a “zen spirit in a chic body.” However, not to be overlooked are the spa’s two infrared saunas and the two Nordique France steam rooms.
Spa services include the best traditions from the world over – that could mean a “Ko Bi Do,” or Youthfulness Face Care from Japan, or from India a Royal Sirodhara® treatment or even a Scented Bath with Flower Aromas® from Japan.
Hotel and Villa guests are allowed complimentary usage of the spa facilities which include fitness room and fitness courses, such as aquagym and aquabuilding, offered in English as well as French throughout the day.
On your way out from your blissful wellness cocoon, as you ascend the staircase back towards everyday life, be sure to notice the exquisite mosaic, a transparent pâte de verre painting. It is the creation of Alliod Mosaïques d’Art, voted the best craftsmen in France in 2004 for mosaic art.
